Sara is a Mum of 3 children and a Navy wife. She loves family caravanning in Western Australia at every chance she gets, preferably in the bush where we she is at peace with nature.
Her passion for Nursing started when she was an Age Care Assistant in the UK. Then, she relocated back to Australia, where she completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Darwin University.
Throughout her studies and training, she was fortunate to have had excellent practicum opportunities. She worked in remote villages in Thailand and Haasts Bluff, Alice Springs. As a result, she gained invaluable skills that she continues to improve and use daily. In addition, her interest and passion have grown for Primary and Community Healthcare.
When she graduated with a nursing degree, she felt her skills were best suited to working in General Practice, where she could use her primary and community experience to its best advantage.
Her first opportunity was working for a General Practice managed by Medibizz. Since that time, her confidence, nursing, and leadership skills have developed through mentorship within Medibizz. As a result, was given an opportunity to work with the Management team as Nurse Manager. She enjoys the diversity of her role and working with a great team that model’s patient-centred care and advocacy.
